About Us

PALI Footwear was founded in early 2022 by Victoria Smith and Manisha Aryal in Adelaide, South Australia.

While on maternity leave, they had a vision to create a label that supported working mothers in Nepal and the broader Nepali community, whilst also creating a luxury product that was handmade from natural, environmentally-friendly and sustainable resources. A product that they would want to purchase and wear. In addition to this, they also wanted to create something special for their babies too. 

The name, PALI, is derived from Sanskrit and means cliff, steep hill or slope in Hawaiian. This definition is reminiscent of the Nepali landscape from which PALI Footwear is lovingly handmade.
